About Nancy

Why This Blog

isltrsenvelopforwebThis blog invites The Israel Letters readers to join  Author Nancy Montgomery in opening the Scriptures contained as references or written within the  book’s eighteen letters.

The blog was inspired as Nancy was contemplating her next steps while in the final stages of recovery from a recent breast cancer surgery, and following radiation therapy, when she heard the words, “I Am the Holy Spirit.  Depend on Me.”   A few days later she found herself unexpectedly back in her condo, about eighty-five miles from her home city, where she spent many months writing The Israel Letters.  There she sensed the Holy Spirit encouraging her to begin blogging the materials she is preparing for a study guide for The Israel Letters.

A Life, Ministry and Book Launching Interrupted

Early in 2015 The Israel Letters, Nancy’s first book, was published,.  A few months later she returned to producing and hosting Christian radio program Haverim with Nancy Montgomery and planned to start  launching the book once the radio production was running smoothly. Early in June 2015, she found out there was a good possibility that she had breast cancer.  The diagnosis was confirmed a few weeks later.  Nancy and husband melanoma ribbonTom were confronted with breaking the news to their immediate family, who still found it extremely hard to accept the death of youngest son Ryan, at age 26, following his seven year battle with melanoma cancer.  Also, the difficult realities of cancer surgery and treatment meant that radio production and the book launching had to be suspended; a prospect Nancy found more than a bit daunting.
